Just found out someone’s been stealing my scans and posting them on Pinterest, cropping out my watermark.
I can’t stress this enough: Pinterest, Weheartit, etc. users lift from Tumblr. That’s basically all they do. This is super not cool. It’s also not cool to take images from there and put them back onto Tumblr. Though the latter might be unintentional, it still pisses us OPs right off.
If you want Monkees scans, go follow np, psychojello, goodtimemusic, and missusschneider. Galli and I also post scans from time to time. Please don’t remove our watermarks and post them here or somewhere else. If you must repost?? Source if you know the source. Basically, if you didn’t scan it, try to provide a source.
This sort of goes for gifs too, except most people who create gifs don’t want them reposted for any reason. Including me. Repost my stuff = Instant block. I usually send a message to the reposter first, but come on… if you didn’t actually make the post you’re posting, why post it? For notes you don’t deserve? People are taking time out of their day to bring you nice things, don’t make them regret it, ok?
It also worth mentioning that a lot of you in the fandom reblog these stolen gifs/scans. Reblogging the gifs encourages the reposter to steal more gifs and scans, because people keep showing them support.
Please check the tags or sources to see if it belongs to the poster or not. DON’T REBLOG THE STOLEN GIFS/SCANS. DON’T JUST REBLOG EVERYTHING IN THE TAGS, BE MORE CRITICAL OF THE PERSON WHO POSTED THEM. Also, it’s not that hard reblogging from the original.
If you want gifmakers to keep making gifs, that you all love, i suggest you reblog it from them. That way you show the original makers that you appreciate their work.
